Our wonderful clients at Sarova Hotels, gave us the opportunity to assist in the intense renovation works at Sir Christopher Wren Hotel. Amongst other alterations the construction work included the new structural designs, with the beautiful open plan pavilion and seating area with its beautiful cylindrical glass dome, that floods natural light into the internal dining area. A new development at Joel Street, Pinner consisting of the construction of a new three-storey building to create six 2-bedroom apartments with associated bins and bicycle storage. The design is traditional in appearance using contrasting dark and light buff brick tones, the white render at ground level provides a soft inviting frontage. The elevation has a proportionate and symmetrical design with sash windows accentuated by sill and head details. The building with the flat roof and parapet walls adds variety to the street scene, whilst allowing a more efficient use of space and volume when compared to the neighbouring mansard roof spaces.

Overall, the new building seeks to present a quality flat development, that works within the constraints of the site, whilst delivering good high standard living spaces. The new building is a positive addition to the street scene, that contributes to the built environment, both in terms of the immediate and wider residential context.

The Vineyard Road 6 Apartment Unit
An exterior simple in form with its orthogonal geometry, a design that is accentuated through the use of traditional red and brown brick. The fenestration utilises large, punched openings to provide natural light to the internal spaces.

All the apartments have been thoughtfully designed, with every unit benefiting from their allocated private amenity spaces, in the form of either inset balconies or gardens. Internally all apartments consist of a modern and chic design, with open plan living, and large double bedrooms. The scheme delivers homes able to exceed national space standards by more than 20 per cent.

This proposal at Cambridge Road is a typical example of what a loft conversion can offer. This proposal converted the existing 3 bedroom dwelling to a 4 bedroom property with an additional en-suite bathroom. The hip to gable conversion together with a rear facing dormer allowed the loft to transform to a habitable space. This used in combination with a typical rear extension proposal increased the properties GIA by over a third. These clients trusted us to support them in remodelling their home and we believe it was a big success.

The Chertsey Lane Development in Staines, Surrey, showcases our experience in residential construction. The project involved the demolition of an existing house and outbuildings, followed by the construction of a new detached chalet-bungalow style 4 bedroom house with a detached garage.

The contractor made amendments on site that resulted in the construction not meeting the planning conditions set out Runnymede Borough Council, which raised enforcement notices and issues. Fortunately, we were able to overturn post planning issues and facilitate the needs of the client creating their dream home, these adjustments resulted in a property with 25% more habitable space than originally approved. The beauty of the internal spaces is emphasized by the open plan kitchen and living area. To support the applicant, we made the case that the proposal had made efficient use of the land, with the dwelling sited comfortably within the plot. Furthermore, the appearance of the property was in keeping with the character of the immediate vicinity and overall modest in design.

We proposed a single storey rear extension to the existing dwelling, as well as newly proposed adjoining 2-bedroom dwelling, which these images show case. The new property has been considerately designed with dynamic details and contemporary finishes. The building frontage has a permeable paved driveway, with the interior utilising beautiful porcelain tiles and neutral colours that accentuate the white kitchen and quartz worktop.
